Joshua jumped upon my belly while I lied on the floor. As he landed with joy, I remembered a moment over eighteen years ago when an adoption dream was born. Long before five babies were born to my husband and I, we held the seed of an adoption dream. At different moments, I felt discouraged. This dream was slow in becoming a reality. Three and a half years ago, when we took steps forward with our foster-to-adopt training, we believed that our adoption season had finally come. Joshua was chosen for us.
God planted these adoption desires in our hearts and He never forgot them. Now we are only a few court hearings away from this seed of hope becoming our dream come true.
