I’ve witnessed love displayed in so many forms recently- and I have been in awe of it. While picking burrs out of my screaming six year old’s’ hair- I considered the patient love it takes to press on in the task because of my love for her. Over the last eight days, I’ve also observed love that is generous, compassionate, gracious, bold, tough, hopeful, sacrificial, and able to fill every need. I personally experienced too- love that is faithful and never failing- even when I have been unfaithful…

What a better time to remember these truths about love than on Easter week? What a great time to celebrate the faithful love and sacrifice that Jesus chose to give on our behalf in payment for our sin? I have been reminded of this-

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.”

John 15:12-14
